I began my art studies at the Institute of Fine Arts (IBA) in Medellin-Colombia. During my career in the IBA, I was fortunate to get training, and work all the techniques of painting, but I decided to refine my watercolor technique for some time. I was also able to acquire some very good reviews and appreciation from others artists and art-related people in my country. After working with watercolor I chose to work on oil, and I was able to perform some exhibitions in this stage of my life.
More recently, and as part of the evolution my work has experienced throughout these years, I started working with acrylic. By experimenting I was able to evolved my painting techniques; I was finally able to succeed in providing an effect and a style to my art, that's what defines me today. However, this was also the result of all the lessons and experiences in my career as a professional artist. In a personal way, I think that the development of each art work and each painting is based on the daily work and history of me as artist. It's where prior experiences and experiments converge on the technique used in today's work; a work in progress where I must continuously work to ensure its complete realization.
My work and my styles are, in a manner of speaking, unique because they are confluence of innate attitudes of perception and choices made during my training as an artist, and that are now part of my artist and personal growth.
